If you find any sass or personality in our writing or content, good chance is it was Carrie who created it! She is our beloved marketing strategist, and office goofball. Get familiar with her spunkiness in these fun Q&As!
1. Tell us a secret talent/fact about yourself.
Oh gosh... I don't have a lot of secret talents or facts because I tend to be an open book! Let's see... It isn't really a secret, but I really enjoy singing in worship band at church. Harmonizing is one of my favorite things!
2. What is your favorite part about your job?
I love meeting with clients and learning their stories. I am a naturally curious person so getting to meet new people and ask them questions is my happy place! I also love strategizing and coming up with outside the box ideas for content and marketing. If I can do that with clients on the fly while in a meeting it checks all my happy boxes!
3. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
4. What is the best place to eat in Sioux Falls?
Oofta, there are SO many amazing restaurants here! I love Khorasan Kabob House. They serve Afghan food and it is delicious! I also love the food at Josiah's. Their Thai pizza is amazing! And when it comes to dessert, you can't the summertime ice cream fun at B&G!
5. What is something you are passionate about?
I'm kinda crunchy. Not totally crunchy, just kinda crunchy. I love using high quality essential oils and DIYing a lot of the products I use to clean my home. And if you come in the office, I often have my oil diffuser running.
6. What do you want to see change/grow in the world of marketing?
I would love to see marketers embrace telling stories and making an impact over just playing a numbers game. With our clients our goal is always to get them the numbers they need, whether that is new employee contacts, higher sales, or market awareness; but we never want to lose sight of the importance of telling good stories and being real with consumers while we are trying to get results.
The second you flip your "marketing" switch on, customers notice. This is especially true of younger buyers. I would love to see more marketers promoting exceptional brands, telling high quality stories, being real and honest, and making the world better! Authentic marketing matters!
7. Who in the office would you most like to swap jobs with?
If I had to swap jobs I would probably take Lacey's job and be a graphic designer. I love good design, but I definitely don't have the education and knowledge to create what I have in my head. So I would also have to swap her talent too. 😉
